Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN the first of his long-players to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca, which was an album that was a Top Five smash hit in 2010 featured him along with Ozuna. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina in the following year. He also performed in a duet with TINI for her viral online song Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash record La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was born into a family of musicians his mother and older brother have been musicians. In interviews he has described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. He was taught how to play guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as when he was a child.
